A New Arts Learning Center Materializes

Sitar Next Door is starting to look and feel like an arts learning hub! Very soon, Sitar will be able to serve more DC youth with the tools and artistic resources they need to achieve their goals.

As you read this, the crew is installing cabinets in the Arts Studio, Advanced Music Studios, and Arts Learning Lab where youth will access their art supplies, musical instruments, and everything they need to create and discover. The Flex, our black box theater and community space, now includes a large projection screen, light grid, and acoustical ceiling tiles for all types of performances. There is now track lighting in the Art Walk Gallery for student and professional artists to exhibit. We're so excited to see the progress in some of the back rooms – check out these kitchen cabinets and bathroom stalls!
