Laying the Foundation for Sitar’s Future

Right now, our construction team is pouring concrete to enlarge the columns inside Sitar Next Door. On April 12, the first column was brought to grade-level, and in the picture above, you can catch a first glimpse of the flooring that we will dance across at Sitar Next Door! 

As they’re pouring concrete for the foundation, we’re thinking about how this new facility is the foundation of Sitar’s 5-year strategic plan. It's an exciting moment in Sitar's mission to create opportunities for deepened engagement in the arts for young people of all ages. 

Next, the construction team will work on deepening the footing around the perimeter wall to carry the load of Sitar Next Door, three floors of Jubilee Housing apartments, and Jubilee Housing's new offices.
