A First Curtain Call: Sitar Next Door Hosts Its First Rental

Even before welcoming its first cohort of students, Sitar Next Door found a way to serve the DC arts community. Sitar Next Door's new blackbox theater, The Flex, hosted its very first rental: Nu Sass Productions' world premiere of Everything, Devoured.

Nu Sass needed an affordable, well-equipped space on short notice, and Sitar Next Door had exactly what they needed — hosting the production's full run from April through May 10, 2026. It is exactly the kind of impact we envisioned for this new space: not just a home for our own students, but a resource for the broader DC arts community.

We are proud that Sitar Next Door could support local artists. Our first full program semester in the new space kicks off this summer!
