Above Ground Structural Work Commences!

With the foundational work of 1724 Kalorama Rd NW complete, the construction team is now working on above ground structural work to bring Sitar Next Door to life!

On the ground floor, which Sitar will occupy, the construction team is roughing in the plumbing, pouring concrete to complete the slab, and filling in bricks and adding door openings to the back wall. On the second floor, they are installing channels for the structural steel and air barriers for windows. To carry the load of the new third floor, they are building four more columns.  The elevator and stairwell shafts are complete all the way up to what will become the fourth floor.
